ALL THE THINGS
ALGOMA UNIVERSITY FINE ART STUDENT’S YEAR END EXHIBITION
March 5th – 10th, 2013
Reception: March 7th, 2013 from 8pm -11pm
Algoma University proudly presents All the Things, the annual exhibition of works created by students in the university’s Fine Arts Program. All the Things features works in a wide range of media – drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture and digital practices – by artists currently enrolled in courses at all levels of study at Algoma University. This weekend-long exhibition is installed at 180 Projects at 180 Gore Street in downtown Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.
All are welcome to attend a special opening reception on March 7th, 2013 from 8pm -11pm. The opening reception will also coincide with a special Cabaret performance featuring visiting artists and scholars: Leah Decter, Jaimie Isaacs, Chris Bose, Adrian Stimson and Cheryl L’Hirondelle in the adjacent space to the gallery. The Cabaret event is part of a series of special events initiated by the Shingwauk Residential Schools Centre.
The exhibition will also be open to the public, with the artists in attendance on Saturday March 9th and Sunday, March 10th from 2pm – 5pm. We invite you to support the emergent artists in our community, and to join us in celebrating their success!
