ANIMAL NATURE

Here at 180 Projects, we LOVE animals and we know you do too!

180 Projects invites all members of the Sault Ste. Marie and Algoma Community to enter artworks for our first community fundraising event Animal Nature. Funds raised by the exhibition will go to support Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society, The Animal Assistance Group, Wires Australian Wildlife Rescue Organization, and 180 Projects. The exhibition will run from February 21st to March 7th with a Gala opening reception on February 22nd, 7-9pm.

We are seeking artwork and crafts of or about pets and animals. Any and all mediums of artwork can be submitted, and artists can be of any age. Artwork can be dropped off at 180 Projects, 180 Gore Street on the following days:

February 15th from 2:30 to 5pm

February 17th from 2:30 to 6:30pm

February 18th from 2:20 to 7 pm

Contact us at oneeightprojects@gmail.com for more information or if you need to arrange an alternate drop-off time.

To enter your work in the exhibition, become a member of 180 Projects for $10. If the membership fee is prohibitive for you just let us know and we can find a solution. We want everyone who wants to participate to be able to be part of the exhibition.

Half of the membership fee will be donated to Australian Animal Relief Efforts. Your 180 Projects membership will allow you to participate in community group exhibitions and will get you on our mailing list for upcoming events throughout the year. The membership fee can be paid via cash or cheque when dropping off artwork and the registration form for the show can be filled out at the link above or in person at the time of drop off.

Proceeds from sales of artwork in the exhibition will be divided between local animal assistance groups; Sault Ste Marie Humane Society, The Animal Assistance Group, and 180 Projects. Artists can choose to receive half of the proceeds from the sale of their work or can choose to donate the full amount. The number of works artists can submit is unlimited!

A number of workshops will also take place throughout the duration of the exhibition including Screen Printing on T-Shirts, Making Nests and Cloth Pouches for Australian Animals, and more. Workshops will be accompanied by visiting pets from the SPCA and TAAG. Registration in the workshops is by donation and all proceeds from the workshops will be donated to the Wires Australian Animal Relief Efforts. Keep an eye on our Facebook page to stay in the know about these upcoming workshops!

Make it stand out.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
