180 Projects is dedicated to presenting public exhibitions and promoting discourse on a wide range of contemporary and experimental art practices. We connect artists and the community of the Algoma region and Northern Ontario to artists and communities elsewhere in Canada and internationally. 180 Projects provides a supportive environment for local and visiting artists at all levels of their careers.

We do this by:

  • Providing an inclusive and accessible space for the display of contemporary, experimental, or underrepresented visual art & culture.

  • Providing a platform for emerging artists to gain professional experience.

  • Promoting critical discourse on art and culture.

  • Affirming the value of contemporary visual art by displaying work & aiming to paying artists, curators, and writers.

  • Connecting artists to the community, to other artists, and connecting the local  community to art and artists.
